You might think that we chose the name “Strange Folk” because of the Kula Shaker album of the same  name. Our first issue was published in June 2006, the album came out a year later… 

Some might say our clairvoylant abilities were outstanding, but the truth is we chose the name after the hidden track on ‘Kollekted’ which was later part of the ‘Peasants, Pigs and Astronauts’ 10 year anniversary edition.
Because we a) loved it and we b) thought Strange Folk was actually quite fitting for (us) Kula Shaker fans 😄 (sikhs, geeks, lepers and creeps, wizards and witches, Jesus freaks.. you get it). 

Still a nice coincidence if you believe in coincidences..
